Most people picture an emergency happening at home. A slip in the bathroom, a fall on the stairs. But plenty of life happens somewhere else: the pharmacy line, the walk around the block, the garden, the drive to see the grandkids.

At Liferun, we’re based in Bridgeview, Illinois. Our system is built around a water resistant help button that works both at home and away. Here’s what that looks like once you step out the front door, and which features matter most when you do.

What Changes When the Help Button Leaves the House

Nothing ties the button to the house. Our devices don’t need a landline, a phone line, or a bulky console. There’s no installation and no battery backup to manage. You charge the device and wear it.

That’s the core idea behind a mobile emergency button. The help travels with the person, so stepping outside doesn’t mean stepping away from it.

On a Walk: Where You Are Matters Most

If someone feels dizzy halfway through a walk, they may not know the cross street. That’s where location features do the heavy lifting.

The Liferun Belle W sends real time GPS and cellular location data to emergency responders and family. The Belle X and the Liferun Smartwatch use GPS, WiFi, and cellular triangulation. The Belle S uses WiFi and cellular triangulation.

Our Belle W, Belle X, and Smartwatch support GPS location tracking. The Belle S uses WiFi and cellular location technology. We can help you understand the location features available with each device.

In the Car or Across the Country: Coverage on Named Networks

A mobile button is only as useful as its connection. That’s why we list the exact networks each device runs on.

The Belle W works on AT&T and Verizon 4G and compatible 5G networks, at home, outdoors, and across the US.

The Liferun Smartwatch runs on AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile 4G LTE. It works anywhere there’s sufficient cellular coverage nationwide.

The Belle S is certified on Verizon 4G LTE, with expert operators available 24/7 across the US. Cellular service is included in the monthly fee.

Every plan includes nationwide 4G LTE coverage. If your parent spends time somewhere rural, mention it when you call. We’ll help you think through which network fits.

Crossing the Border: The Belle X in Canada

Family in Canada? A summer place across the border? The Liferun Belle X is certified on AT&T, Verizon, and TELUS 4G LTE and works across the US and Canada.

It weighs 1.3 oz and is worn on a lanyard or belt clip, so it’s easy to bring along. Its battery lasts 6 to 16 days per charge, depending on the operating mode.

Out in the Rain or Working in the Garden

Outdoor life gets wet. The Belle W is IPX rated and safe for showers, rain, and all daily activities. The Belle S, Belle X, and Smartwatch are rated IP67. They’re water resistant but not made for submersion.

Falls outside the house can happen when no one’s around to see them. The Belle W’s certified fall detection alerts dispatch even if you can’t press the button. The Belle X includes fall detection with a straightforward cancel feature. On the Smartwatch, automatic fall detection is optional and also has a cancel feature.

Keeping Family in the Loop From Miles Away

When a parent is out and about, adult children often wonder where they are and whether everything’s okay. A few of our features help close that gap.

The Belle X Advanced Caregiver app lets caregivers:

  • Locate the device on demand
  • Get button press and fall notifications
  • View press history
  • Check the battery level and monitor the cellular connection

The Belle S can send email and SMS alerts to loved ones about low battery, emergencies, and more. And with the Belle W, family is among those who receive its GPS location data.

Enough Battery for Days Away From the Charger

A weekend at a daughter’s house shouldn’t end with a dead device.

Device Battery per charge
Belle S Up to 45 days
Belle X 6 to 16 days, depending on mode
Belle W Up to 7 days, recharges fully in 2 to 3 hours
Smartwatch Up to 24 hours

For the Belle W, we call to remind you when it’s time to charge. The Smartwatch fits best for someone who’ll keep up with a daily charging habit.

What Our Dispatch Center Does, Wherever You Are

The response doesn’t change based on where you press the button. One press connects you to our 24/7 dispatch center, where our average response time is under 10 seconds.

Two way voice communication lets you speak with our team through the device, with no phone required. We can contact family and dispatch EMS, police, fire, or hospice, and our agent stays on the line until help arrives. Our agents are trained for big and small emergencies, and support is available in Spanish and other languages.

Ready to Take Help Along?

We’ll match those routines to the right mobile emergency button, suggest the best protocol for your needs, and guide you through your first test in. Our plans come with no long term contracts.
